If so, WIZniche is the place for you! Seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead our Product Engineering team.
WIZniche exists to help small businesses be successful. We work with home, field service, and professional service businesses. Our Business Service Management System is tailored for small businesses by integrating essential business functions to streamline all processes efficiently. Our platform delivers real-time solutions in Estimating, Scheduling, Job management, Invoicing, and Inventory capabilities. WIZniche is currently a cloud-based product with IOS/Android applications coming soon.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Engineering, the Senior Full Stack Engineer will collaborate with other Product Development members on a scrum team to build an industry-leading product that helps our customers and small businesses succeed. We’re looking for people ready to solve problems that millions of entrepreneurs are facing, using their experience to influence product and team development. This team member must be continuously developing their craft in the aims to provide innovative solutions to unique problems within their area of expertise.
This role must be a champion of best practices for well-tested, scalable, and well-organized code. In addition, this role needs to customize and extend tools and processes to increase the effectiveness of the team, and mentor others to do the same.
The Senior Full Stack Engineer will:
- Understand how and why our customers work the way they do so they can develop and improve features online and mobile apps.
- Facilitate group discussions with team members and stakeholders to determine the best solution to our customer’s problems
- Collaborate and be open to change – working with different stakeholders is essential for this role
- Breakdown and explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
Design’s software architecture based on product/application requirements
- Design and maintains server-side applications and APIs
- Develop and maintains front-end functionality
- Provisions Servers and deploys Code
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Software architecture: Responsible for designing application and data architecture ranging from small-scale to large Enterprise-scale applications.
Software development: Develops, tests, and maintains both back-end web application / API development and front-end application code. Is responsible for developing well-written and maintainable code using modern best practices.
Systems engineering and deployment: Responsible for provisioning AWS servers and deploying applications to those hosts and 3rd party hosts. Understands the IT infrastructure and ensures interoperability between systems.
Queries and Reporting: Modify, design, develop, and implement custom reports and ad-hoc queries. Work with staff in other departments to assist in the design and creation of reports.
Testing and analysis: Write unit and/or integration tests and analyzes quality assurance of the team’s projects.
Code review: Routinely performs code reviews for fellow team members and is open to code review feedback provided by other team members.
Documentation: Keeps record of work for future reference and troubleshooting. Familiar with tools and processes related to source code management. Creates training tools as needed
Other: Completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Knowledge, Skill, and/or Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum five years’ experience.
Must be an experienced PHP developer (Laravel Framework) (MySQL Database)
Must be an experienced VueJS (VueX, Vuetify, NuxtJS, Lodash, ReactJS, and React Native)
Must be familiar with modern programming concepts and frameworks.
Experience with serverless Development (Laravel Vapor)
Experience with Agile process preferred.
Experience in a startup environment
Knowledge of and ability to implement software security best practices.
Knowledge and interest in computer systems and the latest technologies. Ability to learn new systems quickly.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey complex procedures to colleagues and end-users.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain documentation.
Proven strong critical and analytical thinking.
Able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Familiarity with source control, preferably git.
