Solution Specialist

Position Description: Solution Specialist

Since opening in 2008, Certified Radon has grown to become Kansas City’s premier provider for radon mitigation services because of our commitment to safety, service  and  professionalism.  We’ve proudly served thousands of homeowners, property managers and commercial property owners.

Our team brings heart and hustle to each job, everyday. Our goal is to provide Peace of Mind to every customer one installation at a time.  Our team member are all professionally trained and certified in radon testing and mitigation And while certification is preferred Certified Radon will provide certification and training to all new hires.

Individuals in this position are required to undergo testing and continued education courses to obtain both national and state level certifications that are required to perform the mandatory tasks of this position. Certification and training are provided by Certified Radon within the first ninety (90) days of employment.

Full-Time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

  • Responsible for cleanliness, scheduled maintenance, and proper use of company issued vehicle and equipment
  • Ensure accuracy in design and placement of radon mitigation systems insuring the best results reducing Radon Levels
  • Assures accuracy of customer records by inputting, recording, and updating account information in the Company Software
  • Be a Team Player
  • Lead by Example

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and install radon mitigation systems
  • Perform initial walk-through evaluations with customer
  • Conduct diagnostics on air flow (pressure filled extension tests), may require drilling into concrete/slab foundation
  • Install mitigation materials; run pipes for ventilation and install fans
  • Occasional installation of roof boots
  • Occasional shallow digging and/or excavation of materials on site
  • Conduct post-installation testing and diagnostics of systems
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner
  • Provide great customer service and satisfaction
  • Educate to customers the functionality of Radon System and Radon Testing equipment
  • Respond quickly to customer problems or issues
  • Document job details in accordance with company policy
  • Ensure jobsite areas are clean and free of any leftover debris before leaving the site

Qualifications

Experience that Helps

  • Heating & Cooling (HVAC) installation and/or maintenance
  • Plumbing installation and/or maintenance
  • Carpentry framing, finishing, installation and/maintenance
  • Remodeling installation and/or maintenance
  • Drywall Installation
  • Electrical installation and/or maintenance
  • Roofing installation and/or maintenance
  • Waterproofing installation
  • Radon mitigation installation
  • Concrete-basement pours, slab on grade, driveway-side walk building construction related installation
  • Brick laying (Masonry) installation and/or maintenance
  • Maintenance relating to building construction
  • Trenching relating to building construction

Skills & Experience that is a Must

  • 1+ plus year construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience, or building maintenance preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within and meet established deadlines
  • Punctual
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of working independently
  • Highly organized and pays attention to detail
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving history and background check

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, crouching, climbing ladders and lifting equipment
  • The job requires good physical health and ability to perform hands-on construction work
  • Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
  • Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to use general tools and power tools safely and properly such as (Hammer Drill, Sawzall, Core Drill)

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • NRPP certification for radon mitigation, or ability to obtain this certification within established timeline upon hire (Provided by CR)
  • Ideal candidates should have some experience in any of the following trades but not required: Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, General Labor, HVAC, etc.
