Many of us have fond memories of a favorite toy we received as a child. The toys were great, but the thought behind the gift meant so much more. It meant someone took the time to think of you and made the effort in hopes of bringing a smile to your face. This time of year is about giving and bringing smiles to others, especially those who may not be as fortunate, including children whose families may not be able to purchase gifts.
Each year, the Certified Radon team joins together to host a toy drive for local Kansas City children in need. This year, we are collecting donations for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City. We are requesting donations of new toys valued at $25 or more. Our technicians are collecting toys in the field or you may drop them off at our office in Gladstone. Click here for complete details. All toys must be delivered by December 14, 2018. As a thank you for donating, we are offering a $25 discount off radon testing or $100 off mitigation system installation. Simply click here to schedule service.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City promotes the development of self-esteem, values, and skills for boys and girls, ages 5-18, with special emphasis on youth from disadvantaged circumstances. They provide programs for children focused on education, career development, technology, leadership, and healthy lifestyles, among others. Of the children they serve across Kansas City, 43% report living in a single parent household and 72% report qualifying for free or reduced-price lunches. The combined average household income within a two-mile radius of their five Club sites across the city is less than $25,000.
We hope you’ll consider donating to our toy drive for the local The Boys and Girls Clubs. This is your chance to bring a smile to the face of a child in need and, perhaps, give them a fond memory to last a lifetime.
Wising you and yours a very happy holiday season!
