Giving back to our community has always been important to me, personally. I am blessed that my team at Certified Radon, and our loyal customers, partners, and friends, feel the same. For the past three years, we’ve sponsored a food drive to support Harvesters and help provide meals for our neighbors in need.
In our local Kansas City area, 1 in 5 kids suffer from hunger associated with poverty. To think of almost 20% of the children in our region going to bed hungry is staggering. In total, nearly 378,000 people in our community suffer from hunger. By working together, this is a challenge we can overcome. That why we’ve chosen to work with Harvester’s for our annual food drive.
Harvesters is regional food bank serving 26 counties across northwest Missouri and northeastern Kansas. They are well-respected in our community for providing food and related household products to more than 620 not-for-profit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others. Harvesters’ services also include educational and nutritional programs.
If you’d like to help us “stock the shelves” at Harvesters, we will sweeten the deal with a discount of $25 discount off radon testing or $100 off installation of a radon mitigation system when you donate non-perishable food items during our drive.
